Priestfield is part of the Church of Scotland standing in the Reformed Tradition. But we are glad to share with people of other traditions and, whoever you are, you will receive a warm welcome. So where are you? Come and join us!
Our building faces on to Dalkeith Road just a few metres down from the Commonwealth Pool and Pollock Halls of Residence, and there are many students among the 6000 or so people who live in our Parish.
While we are not a large congregation, we are trying to find ways in which we can serve the community around us. There’s lots to do and we can always use extra people to help us.
At the moment we have one service at 10.30am on Sunday mornings, with the first part being our all-age Godspace slot. In the second part of the service we have a reflection chiefly for adults, usually including a visual presentation.
What are we about? The Kirk Session approved a document called Patterns of Shared Commitment which is designed to be a help for us as we journey together with Jesus. If you are searching for a way of life, have a look at it and try some of them out for yourself. For more about our congregation and copies of our magazines, use the ‘news’ tab. The new magazine of our ECO-Congregation group can be found here.
Happy exploring – we hope that you will find something’s of interest on our pages. More importantly, if you’re looking for us you’re probably also looking for God – I’m sure you will be found!
Blessings on you.
