The Stained Glass Windows were presented to Rosehall Church, as it was then, in 1921 by the Preses, Sir John Cowan, in memory of his youngest son, Lt. William Morison Cowan.

Three young artists, Mary Wood, Douglas Hamilton and Alexander Strachan, were commissioned to carry out the work and each shows a distinctive style.
