Regular Services
At Priestfield, our public worship takes place every Sunday throughout the year, with occasional other events. While the services are usually at 10.00am and 11.00am, during the present fabric work we are meeting for one service at 10.30am in the Church Hall incorporating Godspace, with coffee served afterwards.
The 10.00am service, entitled ‘GodSpace’, is informal and is designed to be accessible to families with young children, who specifically benefit from its informal approach.
The 11.00am morning service is more traditional, but with visual presentations for the message. It has become occasional practice to invite members and outside speakers to update us at this service on Christian witness within Priestfield and beyond. Particular emphasis is placed on having breakfast of coffee/juice and croissants/muffins between both services and after the morning service to create a feeling of continuity and integration and this is a valuable time for fellowship.
On the first Sundays of each month and at Pentecost and Christmas the service includes the celebration of Holy Communion.
There is an occasional 6.30pm service, entitled Forum, which is a more informal, interactive experience where we explore our faith together. Details about Forum are circulated in our weekly ‘Connections’ sheet, and can be found in the ‘What’s On’ section of this website.
