Praise and Prayer

An informal time of praying and singing on alternate Thursdays (with Home groups) at 7.30pm at the church lounge. Praise and Prayer is led by members of the congregation who use themes and current needs to shape the content. Those who attend are invited to pray aloud or in silence.

See the calender for dates.

Prayer at Priestfield

So I say: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Luke 11:9

pray for the world – Refugees in Central America; those in Lebanon and elsewhere fleeing from Syria; for all those who want a better life and countries who do not want them; the conflict in the Yemen; instability around the world.

pray for our community

* and how we can help those who are vulnerable or on the streets,

* Korean Congregation – help us to support and work with them,

* remembering again as Craigmillar Park and Reid Memorial Churches look together for a minister, leading the right person to them who can bring unity, guidance and challenge,

* as representatives of the three Churches meet next week to look at the priorities of an Outreach Worker.

pray for Priestfield

* and help us to seek ‘The Way’. What does this mean to us?

* for Messy Church, on Saturday 27th October that all may go well, and people will feel the touch of the Holy Spirit,

* all those who live on the Priestfield roads, who do we know?

* and the Café Time on Saturday 3rd November that many will support this and the work of the Uniformed groups,

* giving thanks for the fellowship and work the Guild give over the years. Bless all they do,

* stewardship – “supervising or taking care of something”. Pray about how each of us sees what part we should take.

We have also been engaging with the Church of Scotland ‘Together we Pray 2018’ programme. More information can be found here.
