Praise and Prayer

An informal time of praying and singing on alternate Thursdays (with Home groups) at 7.30pm at the church lounge. Praise and Prayer is led by members of the congregation who use themes and current needs to shape the content. Those who attend are invited to pray aloud or in silence.

See the calender for dates.

Jesus said… “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved… I have come that they might have life, and have it to the full.” John 10:9-10

Prayer changes things – tell God again about…

* your big issue, a particular person, yourself.

Pray – talk to God

* about people who are thinking about trying to follow Jesus; maybe you are or someone you know. Pray for the next step.

* and the two meetings of the Kirk Sessions over the next two weeks. One with Rev Mike Taylor, our Interim Moderator, is to organise our next steps in calling a new minister and all that means. Give each of us wisdom and vision.

* as we prepare a home (the manse) for our new minister.

* for Revs John Fraser, Chris Martin and Liam Fraser, as they lead our worship while Jared is away; and for Chris as he provides pastoral support.

* guide and refresh our minister Jared, on study leave, and for his last few months here at Priestfield.

* for Rev Amos Chewachong in Newport-on-Tay as he is inducted into his new Church and for the whole family as they settle in.

* pray for each person as they visit homes in the area during Christian Aid Week. For compassion and for friendship.

* for Dalkeith Road, Spence Street and Cameron Park.

* for us, Craigmillar Park and Reid Memorial working together to reach our community; seeking God’s will about leadership.

* Our country as we approach the General Election.

Give thanks – think of five things to thank God for…
