Praise and Prayer

An informal time of praying and singing on alternate Thursdays (with Home groups) at 7.30pm at the church lounge. Praise and Prayer is led by members of the congregation who use themes and current needs to shape the content. Those who attend are invited to pray aloud or in silence.

See the calender for dates.

New Year – Prayer at Priestfield

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know me when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.  Psalm 139 1-2

Give thanks; that God loves us, even though He knows all about us; for all those who worshipped with us over Advent and during the Christmas Season; think of three things to give thanks for.

praying for the world; John McCulloch in Jerusalem; all the different charities we support – name them now…………………

pray for our community

* those we know who are in need of whatever sort, may through faith in Jesus they may have an experience to change their life

* may the Holy Spirit be with Craigmillar Park and Reid Memorial Churches working together to find a new minister; also as the plan for the outreach worker goes into the next stages

pray for Priestfield

* and those who live on Peffermill Road and Kings Meadow

* as the Family Film Night is on Saturday 26th January- pray for the team; welcoming people along in the New Year

* as we think prayerfully about how to care for and nurture the faith of people at Priestfield particularly our younger families; how to do this and what changes each of us may need to make

* those who have friends or family members who have died recently; for peace, comfort and support

* the Edinburgh Korean Congregation as they look at their way forward; for wisdom and clear guidance

We have also been engaging with the Church of Scotland ‘Together we Pray 2018’ programme. More information can be found here.
