Praise and Prayer

An informal time of praying and singing on alternate Thursdays (with Home groups) at 7.30pm at the church lounge. Praise and Prayer is led by members of the congregation who use themes and current needs to shape the content. Those who attend are invited to pray aloud or in silence.

See the calender for dates.

Praying at Priestfield

To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behaviour and perverse speech.

Proverbs 8:13

Think of what you could give thanks for.

Pray… about Priestfield

– as we look at what we believe on Sundays over the next few weeks; that we can understand this so we can share with others.

welcoming people into our building and also into the city over this Festival period; how we are like ambassadors for Jesus.

– as the Manse Group continues in looking at what needs to be done on the house to be a great welcome to our future minister.

– praying for the Kirk Session next week as the Rev Mike Taylor and Presbytery’s Vacancy Advisory Committee lead them to discuss our vision for Priestfield. Give them unity and wisdom.

– at this time when there is a lot of change and activity that we may watch and pray against attacks from the devil.

– for our Student Link as it plans for the return of students.

– the Fabric Group, giving thanks for their hard work and perseverance.

Pray… about our community

– the Clearburn streets; for our witness there.

– for Craigmillar Park and Reid Memorial Churches as they learn about working together in their joint ministry.

– for Cameron Toll Chaplaincy as Graham supports the workers.

Newington Churches Together during this period of change.

– for staff and children as schools return.
